Schedule of Shows

Saturday, January 19, 2019; PGA Merchandise Show – Preview Special from Orlando, Florida

In much the same way that the football world spends an entire week ramping up for the Super Bowl … the golf world spends an entire week ramping up for the Super Bowl of the Golf Industry – the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

GolfTalk Live has been on the scene all week, talking with many of the movers-and-shakers who make this the most exciting week of the golf business world.

Ron Garl, noted golf course architect and an active attendee at the PGA Merchandise Show for more than 30 years, will provide his special insight on the grand event from the mammoth Orange County Convention Center. Plus, he will reflect on the economic issues of the golf industry – especially following what was a disastrous year in 2018.

The PGA Show isn’t all about dollars and cents – it is also about celebration. Jan Stephenson, newly elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame, will be part of a major celebration on Wednesday of PGA Show Week. She comments on being honored before many of her peers at the PGA Show, as well as looking forward to induction at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in June.

Finally, in this month’s “Putting Corner” segment, Dave Hamilton provides some interesting stories about Matt Kuchar, who is fresh off a four-stroke victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii. As co-inventor of the Putting Arc, a top-rated putting training device, he has seen Kuchar’s use of the product for years … even after adapting it to his arm-anchor putting style.
